Mama Cacao
Cacao, as a medicinal and unifying beverage, is deeply rooted in the indigenous cultures of Mesoamerica and played a central role in the cosmovision of the Mayans, Aztecs, and Mexicas. As the "food of the gods," it has been highly valued and revered in fertility ceremonies and rituals for millennia.
Today, cacao opens hearts worldwide and promotes healing—especially the connection to Mother Earth and our hearts. It promotes self-awareness and connection with others. Ceremonial cacao contains valuable ingredients such as theobromine, which gently stimulates, promotes circulation, and opens the heart. It supports the release of endorphins and serotonin, which enhances feelings of joy, relaxation, and inner harmony.
In my cacao ceremonies, I often work silently with the sacred cacao plant. Following the motto "Opening the heart to introspection," I like to accompany this process with meditation and drumming. On my trip to Mexico, I was able to learn a lot about working with cacao and understand how indigenous peoples revered this medicine hundreds of years ago and how it also opens our connection to the divine heavens. That's why I also greatly value working with the plant outdoors.
I would be happy to welcome you to a cocoa circle.
